A girl who struggles to fit in.
A guy who struggles to express his differences.
Will opposites attract in this romance/ drama novel?
Maple has an amazing personality but is often too anxious to put herself out into the world and be herself. She's not like everyone else. She's unique, bold, opinionated, confident, intelligent, weird, cunning and fiery. Her not so realistic side is the one she's known for, the one she hides behind like a mask, a protection. Quiet, anxious, introverted, mediocre. Maple banishes her true self for exchange of a 'quiet high school life' but what she doesn't realise is how much this is consuming her.
Greyson is well liked and popular. He's funny, cool, all of those typical 'popular guy' traits. But his true self is hidden. He's afraid people may not like him for the real him, his best friend Zaxton continues to convince him that he'll have no one if he expresses his personality rather 'weird self'. Zaxton brain washes him into thinking that he'll be unliked and excluded. Greyson's biggest fear is being alone after losing his father to a tragic illness. So Greyson is forced to continue this charade of his personality. When will he get what he wants?
Can these two protagonists help each other learn to be themselves and nothing but that? Maybe they aren't so different after all? Does love really conquer all? I guess it's their story to tell...
