Harry's Ascension

Harry Potter grew up believing he was a freak, that he couldn't even dare dream for a hope nor hope for a dream. He was abused, belittled, bullied and starved by the ones he was supposed to call family. With no friends to uplift his spirits and no adults who would even hear a word against his relatives, he started to distrust everything and everyone.

Then he entered the Wizarding World, the place of his birth. He dared hope for a chance to not be a freak, to not be singled out for anything that wasn't his doing. Yet that was not to be, but at least he now had some friends who earned his trust, right? Though he always remained suspicious. After all, while they knew a bit about him, his friends still confused the fiction of the Boy-Who-Lived for the fact of Harry Potter himself.
