Jennifer Jones thinks she has a murder mystery solved when she links three recent murders to a cold case, murder that is over two hundred and fifty years old, but she encounters the real horror behind the murders. 

This was originally written as a short story using two prompts "Hanging On" and "The Pleasant Lie" but I ended up liking the universe I dreamt up enough that I'm trying to make this into a full-length novel. 

The posted version is the original short that has been edited a handful of times but hasn't seen a second pair of eyes. So, critique is appreciated.All Rights Reserved
