Which one is more important, his own compass or his family's compass?
Octo the panther is going through hard times. He believes in one thing, to make his own path, to make his own mark. He was looking forward to growing up. Yet, his family rejected that idea and instead gave him another house to build, one which he utterly loathes. With the foundations already built, he wonders whether he could still build the house to his own will or to bend to his family's will.
Kevin the wolf, on the other hand, had no foundations to speak of. His house has been utterly destroyed by the one he used to look up to. Now, what remains are the ruins of his dreams, the crumbling pillars supporting what remains of a roof. Piece by piece, he tries to rebuild himself, his house, trying to bring happiness to the one he looks up to for just once more before Time demands His due.
This book is a sequel to Reaching for the Stars. You need to read that first to read this. Unlike the previous book, there shall not be too deep of philosophical stuff here. Worldly affairs, for better or worse, demand a paddle made of gold with which to navigate its searing waves. This book will have over 200.000 words and spread over 50 or more chapters and contains themes of homo- and heterophobia, child abuse, disturbing behaviour and scenes, violence and blood, and multipersonality.
Again, if you like long stories, I hope you will find this book enjoyable. Votes and comments as well as constructive reviews are highly welcome!
