I watched as the snow fell, I watched as he fell apart, my throat not able to release words to comfort him. I was happy he set him free, he cried on my shoulder, his tears seeming to be the only thing keeping him warm. His voice was shaky as he coughed sobs, his hands tangled in my coat for comfort. It was the two of us and a broken heart, as the snow continued to fall.
