~New at this, please be gentle haha; feedback absolutely encouraged!~ A clashing of talents and minds, between the morally ambiguous and those aiming to bring them to justice. With the help of 'mana', the mysterious substance that was first discovered twenty years prior in an impossible eclipse, Lyndis Erine and her close circle developed a virtual reality game. One that was far more immersive and realistic than had been accomplished to that point. But, Sēker became famous thanks to it's biggest draw--The Race. Something that also quickly bred a darker side to game's open-world. Avelyn Demetriou works for a larger private investigative agency. One day, she and her team find themselves tasked with investigating a murder of a thirteen-year-old boy. Due to...a game? As they work to find answers, and protect other innocents, they find themselves playing a dangerous game of cat-and-mouse as they struggle to one-up the developers of Sēker. ~Hoping to update every Friday with a new chapter!~

Milo is a Kaw-Sekhmu who has been dormant for over 150 years, waking up to a world that has changed beyond recognition. When he awakens in a morgue, he realizes that he can no longer stomach blood and has nowhere to turn for support. Milo's decision to turn to the first person he finds for support backfires when he misunderstands the significance of tattoos and turns a vegan, dooming them both. But just when Milo thinks things can't get any worse, his past comes back to haunt him in the form of an Egyptian deity from long ago, powered by a mysterious sect of people wearing black hoods. As Milo struggles to understand their plans and what they mean for the world, he realizes that the stakes are higher than he could have ever imagined. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "For as long as he lived and the many troubles he had. Milo had never once considered suicide a viable option. However, as of late, the wicket idea would simply pass threw his thoughts. He had never been in so much pain. He had never felt so alone. But the better question was. Would it even be possible? If he had really thought about it. If it was something he really wanted. Was there a way to kill him? He thought not, but surely nothing can last forever, not even him." (Disclaimer, I'm not great at spelling or grammar. I cannot get a professional editor, But I did my best.)
