This is a Newtmas (mazerunner) fanfic where newt never properly dies, it is set after the end of The Death Cure. Most of it is Thomas' POV but if it switched I'll but a thing. But that's about it :)

What if?
What if... Teresa never went with Thomas when she died, but instead, got the serum and went to try to save Newt without anyone knowing. Everyone would be gone to the Safe Heaven thinking Newt and Teresa are dead. But 1 month later, Newt woke up, healthy again and cured. Newt and Teresa then make a team to try and get back to the Safe Heaven where is everyone. This is an alternative end for The Maze Runner : The Death Cure (because I'm clearly still not over Newt's death and I'm so mad that they killed him, so yeah...) Newt was never immune. We all know that. But what if he survived the Flare through a different way? What if he didn't die from the stab? What if the Safe Haven wasn't as good as the immunes thought it would be? And what if Thomas wanted to leave because of the bad situation and got let down by a person he thought he could trust? So, I watched The Maze Runner: The Death Cure last week - and I am so not okay with that ending! Newt should have survived! So I've taken matters into my own hands and re-wrote the ending. With Newtmas being eventually canon of course! or Where everything's the same except that Brenda, Minho and Gally arrive a minute earlier to save Newt's life and even make it out of the city with the perfect cure made from Thomas' blood.
