Georgina Scott is a short, beautiful and delightful teacher from a little country town by the seaside. Her life is headed in no extraordinary direct until she meets Nolan Bishop, a dark, intellegent man with a newfound passion for booze. Georgina takes an instant disliking to Nolan and the spiteful and peculiar way he picked up on during the years he spent in Scottland. However, when a man tries to frame Georgina for the death of Heather Marlen, Nolan springs to the rescue. Georgina begins to notice that Nolan is actually rather loving at heart. But, the pressure of Nolan's job as a private detective leaves him blind to Georgina's affections and Georgina takes up a fondness for reading to try and distrct herself. Finally, when the controlling actor, Beth Jacobs, threatens to come between them...in more ways than one, nolan has to act swiftly. But will they ever find the tender love that they so rightfully deserve?
