After the battle of Sokovia left Pietro nearly dead, he's spending time at the Barton's recovering from his injuries. No one knew if he'd survive his extensive gunshot wounds, but between Laura's care, and cooking, the Sokovian Speedster pulled through.
Of course, as he was recovering, Pietro couldn't run. In fact, he couldn't do much of anything without pain searing through him, except eating.
Being on bed rest so long, Pietro picked up some new hobbies, and of course, he never said no to Laura Barton's award winning (as Pietro would describe it) food!

All of you volunteered for Strucker's experiments but you were taken away for a few years and Wanda and Pietro were lied to about what happened. You have the same powers as both Wanda and Pietro as well as the similar abilities of a serine and enhanced strength. You also got a bad head injury during the bombing so whenever you don't use proper grammar when speaking english like your siblings that is why. She is brought to the containment unit where she meets Loki. Over the next week they bond and then they are forced to part but when she is free again they become almost inseparable. He doesn't care that she must eat human corpses to survive, she doesn't care who he is but do they know that yet? Of course not.
