Some mortals share DNA with a supernatural. This shared DNA offers a connection between the mortal universe and the supernatural worlds. Sometimes, often referred to as the mortal's alter ego, the supernatural can appear based on the mortal's emotions. However, there are some "corrupt" supernaturals. Those with valid reason are sent to Vales in the Void Territories. If a supernatural gets sent to the Void Territories, they no longer have access to the mortal or the mortal universe. 

It is near impossible for a mortal to gain a supernatural half if they do not already have one. It "is" possible to gain a supernatural side. HOWEVER, it is more likely the mortal will die trying to gain a supernatural side.

Everyone is a percentage mortal and a percentage supernatural. If your supernatural percentage is higher than 65%, you will gain supernatural abilities and have a supernatural connection. 

The connection between a mortal and supernatural makes it possible for the supernatural to take over the mortal's body. But if one gets hurt, so will the other. If the supernatural is in the mortal universe and they die, both die.All Rights Reserved
