Eyes shut

They said that in old times an old men gouged his own eyes so he wouldn't see the world atrocities....
I never thought I could see something like that happen in this day and age .... People willing to sacrifice their own eyes to survive....
In just a day the world changed in the worst case possible.... Death came on every blink of eyes....
Seeing them means dying .... No one could survive.... Nor fear nor stubbornness could help....
Only those ready to die could survive .
