All she could see and smell was blood. One second everything was fine and the next, all of us were running for our lives. Everything happened in a split second, the government fell, and people were getting imprisoned and killed for no reason. The roads were blocked, the airports were filled with people wanting to run away. And the ones who were lucky made it to the airplane. And none of us knew where it would go but as long as it was not here anywhere was fine. Aryana Brown was a 23 year old woman who was about to finish her master's and about to go back to her hometown before she could start her new life. Her dream was to work with people but little did she know everything was about to fall apart within a couple of hours. Alistair Blake was a 35 year old business tycoon who ruled anything and everything he touched upon. A man many feared. He was on his way back to England because his family has been forcing him to come back and it's high time he settled down. Little did these people know that their lives were going to change and they had no power to stop it whatsoever? It didn't matter if you were a millionaire or a common folk, everyone were about to face a dreadful disaster. All that matters is how you will survive. Exhale

"Adrian was bad news, and that wasn't good for me. He wasn't good for me. More than ever, he made my defenses rise higher than I ever thought possible yet, I couldn't seem to shake him. He was like an addiction. Every part of common sense screamed at me to run, to avoid him. To do whatever it took. It told me to not consume what he was made of but, my brain seemed to whisper, He's all yours. Take him. Use him. Do bad things with him. And I just couldn't resist. Feeling his touch against my skin, his perfectly full lips taunting mine, seeing his haughty gray eyes flare up at something that challenged him; he was out of control and so over-the-edge, beyond the point of no return, and yet I was drawn to him, like a magnet. I felt danger, and I should have been fighting my way away from it. Only, I was moving towards it, and its name was Adrian." After the murder of her father, Britt and her mother move across the country to the Salem Massachusetts area for a new life. But it's not long into their journey when Britt realizes something terribly wrong after she has a run in with a seductive stranger who nobody else seemed to see, despite the fact they were out in plain sight. Matters go from bad to worse when she realizes that this stranger is a student at the school she'll be attending. Adrian is an edgy, over the top bad boy who's life mission is to make Britt miserable. With a secret he's losing control at hiding, he makes Britt question her morals and every little thing in her life, especially after she begins to observe some unnatural behaviors coming from herself. What she doesn't realize is that she's already been thrusted into a world that would take a miracle to get out of. And despite everything Adrian does to torment her and make her breath catch, she can't help but feel a draw to him. After all, not everything is as it seems. An Angel of Death. An ancient curse. An untamed love. Can love really conquer all?
