Elven traveler Dave Miller wonders across the island of Namik in search of an escape from his fathers demanding life-style. Coming to an inn, he meets bartender Jack Kennedy, an orange hobbit, who he drags along with him on his adventure. They're friendship tends to be on the last string, and Dave is wondering if he can keep it going long enough to tell his new profound friend his feelings.
