Abyss

I am completely new to writing, I've wanted to write for a few years now, but only gathered the determination to do so now. English isn't my native language, and I've always been bad at grammar, so I'd like to apologize in advance for my many grammatical mistakes.
As of now, I am also not very sure of the maturity of my story. I'm pretty bad at establishing Mature scenarios, but that might change later on, so maturity may differ.
This story is, kind of like a D&D campaign, based on a handful of main characters, coming together to achieve something great!
with my first story, I'd like to focus on building up my characters and the world they live in, before focusing on the main overarching plot.
The first chapter introduces you to one of the main characters, and a looming threat.
