In a medieval world where witches are hunted and burned at the stake, the remaining ones have no choice but to run and hide to survive. Algeron is one of the last born into a witch's bloodline. He has been on the run for half his life and just as he is starting to get comfortable, he is forced to take off once again. Except this time, he is stuck with an unexpected traveler. Princess Eleanor Finnston Windsor, royalty and sister of the new King of Elsondor.
When a bounty gets sent out for her head, Algeron has no choice but to protect her while saving himself as well. He is forced to open Eleanor's eyes to the world around them, including the history of witches and sorcerers. The sorcerer struggles to keep his haunting past at bay as he shows Eleanor his way of life. On top of everything, Algeron discovers something that could mean his end for good.
