There are very few things the vampire Alucard needs to survive, and ever fewer things he genuinely wants for his own. And just as he has few needs and wants, he also has the same in dislikes and hatred, like how the vampiric breeding season is right smack during the winter season. The second the temperature turns into that of winter, the season starts, and it has been one of many banes of the No-Life King for centuries. It's gotten so bad before, that it is now standard knowing that from November 1st to March 31st the vampire is sent off to the summer home to call all his while he waits it out, and it is always alone.
