They say she had a perfect family. She has all the wealth others could wish for, but for Jess, wealth is useless when your parents isn't there when you grow up. She was left with her sister that did nothing but to leave her with the care of maids to join her friends to attend parties. 

She was left on her own.

Not even starting in school, she was already bullied by kids. Her parents knew about this but told her not to mind all of them. And just like that, she was left with nothing but to swallow the pain with a smile.

She done nothing but to be nice to them. All she wanted was to be treated nicely but people around her just can't give her that. So she came up with a plan in order to live peacefully. 

Eliminate those who is threat to her peaceful living. 

She was just at the begging of her plan, but someone came crashing and again, she was left with no choice but to deal with the extraordinary person she met.

She is obviously not interested in this. She hates people. Why would she willingly talk to any of them. She sees no point in even making friends... I wonder why? What happens when she is roomed next to the most feared boy in Nevermore and with the happiest girl alive?
