Severus x reader Professor

You and Severus are the same age, both of you are professors, you have been employed at Hogwarts. You have known each other since school but you never really were friends. Severus always being so closed off, and in the early years he was so close to Lily you couldn't possibly squeeze in. You knew how he looked at her. You always tried though, asking him how his day went, and always getting the same result. Little did you know how much those brief interactions meant to him when he thought he had no one left. Severus has been teaching at Hogwarts longer than you, and is currently the D.A.D.A Professor. You have been employed as an assistant to the other teachers in this forever growing school. Though one person can only know so much, you assist only, Potions, D.A.D.A, herbology and charms. Dumbledore is in the process of hiring others for the other subjects.
