Ian Faulkner, a depressed teenage boy, just wants to be happy. After moving in with his mother at age 10, he's had nothing but stress, loneliness, and misfortune thrown at him. Regardless of how hard he tries, he just can't seem to create a good world for himself. He finds love in all the wrong places, he doesn't feel like he fits in with his group of friends, and often thinks of suicide. He's just trying to make it through life day by day, but in the end he's in The Wrong Kind of Place.
