After Mallory's death in a serious car accident, she ends up in UmbraVita. A place for those who died too early. She soon finds out what it's like to live there. The people, tormented by thirst and hunger, send a group of five children to the World in search of food. The five children have an ability to travel between UmbraVita and the world.
In this world, there is an police officer who tries to find the criminals who haven't been caught for 20 years. He tries everything to lay hold of them, but little did he know that they were not from earth.
"Only those who have sufferd from hunger, can say they're hungry", said Mr. Leroy mockingly while staring into the crying eyes of the newcomer.
