Penelope was frightened; Waking up in the middle of a random field at dusk was just the beginning of an adventure that she wished would just end already. All she wanted to do was go home, but when Jason, a boy she met when she was running from the police, told her that she couldn't, she was only left more confused. Penelope wasn't like Jason and the rest of the people in this world they called 'Iris'. She was human, and they were not; But that didn't stop Jason from helping Penelope try to discover a way for her to return where she belongs, even when they don't think there is one. Will Penelope be stuck in Iris? Or will she be able to return to Earth, with the help of Jason?

So when some unknown guy begins to chat her up through her car window, and then goes on to watch her as she drives away, she does what she's been taught: she goes to the cops. However, this turns out to be the least suspicious thing to occur in the following week.
