Raincloud Curtis wasn't like her brother Ponyboy. She's not the best student, she skips classes, acts out and even worse, she can't read. Her brothers have always blame the out bursts on their parents death and the class skipping on Dally. When her Social Studies teacher, Alex Jurel realizes that Raincloud can't read, he calls her brothers to the school for a meeting. After that, Rain's life seems to get a bit more complicated. With all the attention she's getting at home now, and the extra work she has for school, it's all becoming a bit too much for Rain to handle.
