Devil's Gallows

In this story we follow the intrepid life of Ethan Clark, an intelligent and sociopathic young man who in his prime had difficulties scholarly and had fallen into delinquency. But once he finished college and miraculously graduated, he was hired by an extremely wealthy landlady, she wanted Ethan's help in finding out the recent cases of murders and kidnappings reported by the passers-by who were walking near the apartment. Due to the recent incidents, the landlady's apartment was becoming less inhabited and slowly but surely became deserted. The main protagonist had no choice but to aid the woman, because he was jobless and could not even afford a room, nor a meal.
