Takes place before the events of The force awakens. Kai Jenkins is a Resistance Captain/ Jedi in training before The New Jedi order is destroyed and her life is changed forever.

"Black Leader, do you copy?!" I yell through the microphone in my helmet. Chaos is ensuing all around me and I am frantically moving my head to search for the familiar black x-wing but the tie fighters and other rebellion fighter ships are surrounding my view and I can't find it. 

A few green shots coming from an enemy fighter nearly miss my ship and blast over my head.  I Quickly maneuver my ship upwards and slowdown as suddenly as I can, allowing a Tie fighter that was trailing me to shoot narrowly past my ship. I quickly target it, pressing the weapons button on my flight stick and in a matter of seconds my blasters are hitting his engines and he loses control, taking another tie fighter with him and they hit the hull of the star destroyer in a fiery explosion. I Smile brightly at the small victory before my smile falters and I huff in frustration at the failed communication attempt before, I try the radio again, this time more urgency showing through my voice and my brain makes me imagine the worst has already happened. "Black leader?! Do you copy??!" The commlink remains static for a few seconds and I flick the comms switch on my dash a few times to make sure it was still operational.  

"This is black leader, Copy Gold Leader." I let out a sigh of relief. 

"Thank God Poe I thought I saw you get hit." 

"You can't get rid of me that easily sweetheart."All Rights Reserved

My earliest memory is pain. Pain of losing a mother, pain of losing the love of a father, pain from the isolation that happened after the incident. I am reminded by others that what happened on that day was an accident and it wasn't my fault, but deep down I know what truly happened and so does my father and brothers. The deep self-anger and self-hate I have was slowly consuming me until I was taken away by General Organa and the Resistance. My life was beginning to look brighter, until the day I was kidnapped by the First Order. This is where my story neither begins nor ends. This is when my story becomes dark, so dark that even a Sith Lord would tremble in fear. I don't own the Star Wars universe (duh) but I do own the main character and those that are not from SW. There will be spoilers, but the storyline might diverge a bit from the original plot from the films.

A powerful red laser of an unseen weapon obliterates the surface of a planet. Shrieks, whispers and screams and then the sound of a lightsaber igniting. A fiery red saber but behind that saber is Rey, her hand twitches and the saber becomes a double-pronged staff. A maniacal evil laugh cackles. Kylo woke with a start and sat upright on his bed. Written after the first trailer dropped and finished before the film was released. Contains references to previous films, novelisations and comics. Based on Star Wars ep. VII: The Force Awakens. "You... you're afraid." I say looking back at him defyingly. "That you'll never be as strong as Darth Vader." I say his hand moving away from me instantly and he takes a step back finally my body gets released from his hold. I notice the expression from his face breaking completely, he is confused even rattled. I breathe heavily and keep staring back at him proud of myself as he picks up his mask and exits the room leaving me tied up to the interrogation chair. How was I able to do all of that? ------ This book is part 1 of my rewrite series. I figured that if If I wanted to rewrite TLJ and TROS the only correct way would be by also doing TFA so here is that. Also, this book is going to be very similar to the movie to a point where it is almost identical but since it's written with different points of views we get to know more about the characters and where they come from. It is very canon compliant especially when talking about the different character backstories. That being said, this doesn't mean that the next two books are going to be the exact same as the movies I want to take the other books in a completely different way. They might still have similarities to the movies but not that many. ------ **I do not own any of the characters in the Star Wars Saga all credits to that go to Lucas Films.**
