Martin and Josie are practically inseparable best friends. They went through literally EVERYTHING together. Then one night, she goes missing. Martin, being her best friend, goes looking for her, and when he finds her, dead, he screams in grief. Unbeknownst to Martin, his scream breaks open the magical barrier between universes, and then Martin gets pulled into the multiverse.

Martin lands in an awkward spot on Earth-199999 and gets knocked out. Unbeknownst to Martin, someone is recording him. People see him, but they leave him for dead in a street in the state of New Jersey. There, he is rescued by who he thinks is Kamala Khan.

Martin must now face the dangers this new and unfamiliar world has to throw at him while at the same time searching for his best friend. Will he find her, or will his search be in vain?
