How would you define depression? Alex knows, all he's ever felt his entire life was suffering, pain, sadness like he was cursed by the gods to never have a good life, to never feel that very word "happiness". Raised in an abusive home, Alex gives up on life, but then, he meets hope, hope in form of Connor McCoy. 

But fate has other plans. 

If only they knew how much words could hurt, if only they knew it could increase the volume of your demons voices. they were like daggers in the heart, they destroyed the soul, they created more demons. 

It all started with Alex , and then the people who abandoned him, condemned him, ruined him, faced their own demons.

He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more.
