The greedy friend

There lived two close friends in a city called New York. They were Kelvin and Benjamin. Both friend took a vow that they would never leave each other. Unfortunately, they had no job. They decided to go to nearby forest to look for craps. They set off early in the morning. They had walked for only a short distance when they came across a wide river. Kelvin was greatly troubled because he couldn't swim. "Friend, don't be afraid! Just come and sit at my back, and I will help you cross the river; said Benjamin. Shortly afterwards, both friends swam and crossed the river safely. They departed and started looking for craps. Luckily, Benjamin found a pot full of gold. He called his friend to come and look at it. The two friends sang and danced happily together. They decided to come home to share the gold. As usual Kelvin carried the pot and sat at Benjamin's back to cross the river. In the middle of the river, the devil played a trick on Kelvin. He whispered to Kelvin to use the heavy pot to hit Benjamin. "If he dies,the gold will be yours ;you will be rich ";said the devil. Out of pure greed Kelvin used the pot to hit his friend's head. He didn't think about the result of his action. Also, he had forgotten he couldn't swim. Gradually, Benjamin twisted his body in pain and .
drowned in the middle of the river. As Benjamin died slowly, and so his friend Kelvin because he did not know how to swim. This gives credence to the adage, "if you become too clever, you Will end greeting the goat".
