Growing up and making friends became difficult when all it took was a flash of his sharp canines and others finding out his quirk involved blood for him to be bullied and ostracized
Through it all he held on to the words of his Idol All Might that "Anyone Can Be a Hero"
Although a chance encounter with All Might added with the life long bullying leaves Izuku questioning his believe in the heroes and society as a whole.
