One day she meets the Crown Prince at the stream.The prince asked her name and her father's name,she only said her name and fled the scene.The prince was worried about her and told the Queen mother who told the King.The king announced that all the elders' daughters come to the palace.

Ravidzo prayed that she is not the chosen.At her turn during the traditional choosing dance he drank from her calabash thereby choosing her.She was sad and when the chief priest confirmed and pronounced her as the chosen she knew it was a matter of DO or DIE since the Gods would punish her if she refused.
