WARNING NOT FOR CHILDREN A game that's constantly changing, evolving, molding, squirming, begging to be played. Don't play it. Even if you made it. A developer of a game is about to throw in the towel for the night when he realizes that things aren't as they seem. New stages and mechanics are appearing with every playthrough and it's eventually to the point where the game is entirely different. Falling into the hole of curiousity, the developer keeps on playing the game...only to realize that someone, no...something is alive in the game. Listening, waiting, and plotting. They are waiting for when he will open the game next. (Cover Art tributes to @kiwimeephu )

[Book 1] Crawlers: once normal people like you or me. They had hobbies, families, friends, interests, but now they are feral monsters. The infection spread, wiping out almost half the human race, and leaving the rest as either Crawlers or Survivors. The infected's eyes will black out, before giant, black, bug-like legs will rip out of their back, giving them a newfound speed and agility, as well as an insatiable bloodlust. Body fluids entering any open wound, including the eyes, mouth, and nose, will seal the person's fate; they are now infected. It won't be long before they start screeching at the moon in a mock howl. The problem is, I am infected. I turned but retained most of my humanity. With my new lifestyle in a new world, I can't expect anything or anyone to act as I predict. My biggest question is, can I save my humanity? Or will I simply become part of the mindless feral swarm?
