If seen from the surface of Mars, it was just another dot in the sky. And in just a few seconds, it disappeared.
That dot was a spaceship: Ambition. It was supposed to land on Mars, only the second with live, breathing, human passengers. It was supposed to. It didn't.
Whether it was a malfunction or courtesy of the universe, Ambition ignored the red planet. Flew right past it. Now its seven crew have no contact with earth, only fragments of it.
Space is an unknown, weird thing - yet with all the anomalies and things they discover, will they ever be able to go back home?

The Irinaut became valuable quite quickly, having found no spore infection visibly on him.
