I wasn't sure why I felt the need to help him but I did "Why am I helping a stranger who just came running into the cafe at midnight?" I whisper to myself. "Who are you?" I asked, still left in the shock and scared state that came over me when gunshots were heard. I look up to his face which was hidden behind a dark shadow and bit my lips as silence fell between us. "Who I am is none of your business," he said in a cold, husky voice that somehow caused me to shiver. My Stalker
I was just laying down on my bed, cuddled up with a book, when I heard a faint creak on the stairs. The sound was muffled seeing as the door was shut, but I heard it nevertheless. My eyes wandered to the door and I tried to be as silent as possible in my attempt to locate another sound. My body was tense, but relaxed when I didn't hear another noise. It's probably just my imagination, I thought. My paranoia was probably just getting the best of me since I was home alone. I heard the stairs creak again however and I heard... Footsteps. I put my book down slowly and got off my bed as quietly as I could. Yes, those were definitely footsteps. I opened my door slowly, trying to be as silent as possible. I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking.
