An account of Kendra Lane's stay in an antique family estate and the ghosts she summons within it, The Abnormal History of Whiting House takes the reader through the story of a young girl with an interest in the supernatural, who invokes the spirits of two deceased young men from the 19th century: Paris Whiting and Earnest Beaumont, a resident of the house and a member of staff respectively. After her monumental discovery, Kendra is challenged with returning the ghosts to the afterlife, avoiding detection from her parents, and keeping track of her charges, while the ghosts have to reconcile their lost lives and their relationships to one another after being pulled from their graves.

In the small, isolated town of Briar Hollow, strange occurrences have begun to unsettle the once peaceful community. People are vanishing without a trace, and those who remain speak of eerie figures lurking in the dark, silent as shadows. The townsfolk are gripped by fear, unwilling to venture out after sunset. At the heart of the mystery is the abandoned Hawthorn Manor, a decaying mansion that has stood untouched on the outskirts of town for decades. Rumors swirl about its dark past, involving a family that mysteriously disappeared many years ago. Now, whispers of a curse draw curious outsiders and thrill-seekers, but none return the same-or at all. When 17-year-old Emily Weaver's best friend goes missing after daring to explore the manor, Emily is determined to uncover the truth. Armed with a mix of skepticism and desperation, she gathers a group of unlikely allies-each with their own reasons for seeking answers. Together, they delve into the chilling history of Hawthorn Manor, uncovering secrets buried deep within the town's history. As they piece together the puzzle, they discover that the manor is not just haunted by spirits of the past, but by an ancient, malevolent force that thrives on fear and darkness. The closer they get to the truth, the more dangerous their journey becomes, as the shadows seem to come alive, watching their every move. In a race against time, Emily and her friends must confront the source of the evil before it consumes them all, forcing them to face their deepest fears and uncover the long-buried secrets that could either save the town-or doom it forever.

Artemis Rhodes had been working a shift at her minimum-wage waitressing job when two unfairly attractive patrons handed her a flyer inscribed with only a phone number. They told her a better job awaited her, and they left a generous tip. A promise. An English degree and school debt equivalent to half a house haunted Artemis more than any real ghost she'd never seen. After all, as an over-qualified waitress with her rented room in the city, alone, watching Netflix, ghosts were rarely a problem, but bills were downright damning. At least, until she dialed the number and spoke to Michelle, an owner of two businesses: ghost-hunting, and The Secret Hotel, an upscale companion service that catered privately to actors, politicians, entrepreneurs, and anyone with money. The two men Artemis served were not only part of the ghost-hunting team, but also companions. The job of Michelle's personal assistant would end the fear of bills, but bring the supernatural into her life like never before, beginning with an illegally kept ghost named Skylar who protected the companions from ill-mannered clientele. As an Empath, every sound and every glimpse of naked flesh, even the sensation of lust in the air, consumes her. But she can also connect with ghosts and become a prime member of the hunting team. She has a chance to conquer her fears of the world, of herself, and to let others conquer her in ways she never knew she wanted-as long as they survive their ghost-hunting missions. (For ages 18+.
