Vanessa is used to being on the run. It's what happens when you have to run away from your pack at fifteen after... well, she doesn't like to think about that. It was bloody and brutal, but no, she's not sorry she did it. Ten years later and she thinks she's finally getting things together. She has an apartment, a werewolf-on-the-run-friendly job and no pestering pack wolves in sight. No one can even tell she's a rogue. That is, until Green shows up and insists that they are mates. Vanessa never wanted a mate, especially not someone like Green who is way too arrogant for her liking. To get rid of him she cuts him a deal. A few months together and she won't have to see him again. A few months and she can go back to her perfectly comfortable and reasonably safe lifestyle. Because nothing can happen in a few months, right?
