this will be a story about a teenager/young adult (16-19), the main character will be an amab person(he/they) with their love interest being the non-binery child of the king, the king is cold hearted and arrogant, he killed his wife when she fail to bear him a son as their first child, the king has kept the non-bianery child locked in the castle being neglectful and ignoring their existence, the child of the king has ptsd and they are very vigilant about their surroundings, they are a selective mute due to being yelled at by their father, the main character is in a group of people fighting for the king and the other higher ups, against another kingdom that wishes to element them and sell the women and children into slavery, they main charater is introduced to his love intrest by being asighed their guared, the MC is from a poverty ridden family who has to fight to survive, growing up fighting in a underground fight clube has hooned their fighting skills, the MC was caught by the patrolling garueds while leaving the fight club one night, he is taken to the castle to be held for trial, two days into waiting after unfair treatment and beatings he attempts ecape, getting lost as they are disorainted, they run into the kings child before passing out, the kings child takes him to their chamber and treats their injourys, the kings child keeps the mc hidden their room for two weeks before all injourys are healed, once the injourys are healed the mc is brought before the king by the kings child and given the options of training and being the guard to the kings child so that they do not pull a stount liktthis again, or to be killed, he is told his falimy will be paid while he works as a guard, he accepts the offer to be guard.
