After Kirk captured the Romulan ship, and it was near destruction, the Romulan captain asks for one person to be beamed aboard the enterprise. When Kirk and Spock go to meet this special person they find a Romulan girl. She seems different than the others at first glance. But when Kirk and Spock talk to her, they find out something about her that they have never seen before.
It's not a love story but it does conclude a lot of fluff between the girl and Spock.
