I'm an Eryx, and I'm the last one.
Now many would like to believe that my destiny is sealed: That I don't have a choice in my fate.
This however is not the case. I have every option in front of me that I ever wanted and some, like this one, that I never asked for.
I didn't know I was an Eryx.
I was found in the woods as a baby wrapped in a cloth, and nothing else. My parents, or the ones I'll always call my parents, named me Alyce after the Alyce Eryx Academy where they met. As I grew older it became my dream to attend this school.

When I looked back, there was nothing. Just an endless pit of darkness. It was then that I knew that it had found us. This dream somehow finds me ever night. And every night I wake up in absolute confusion. I have no memory of my parents or where I came from. The only true constant of my existence is the visits that my nightmares make at night and during the day. I have yet to understand the echos of them.
