Summary: After Sherlock Holmes jumps off the roof of St. Bartholomew's Hospital, Mycroft Holmes is inconsolable. For the outside world, he maintains his detached and stoic "Ice Man" facade but on the inside he is grieving the death of his little brother. He believes that as Sherlock's elder brother and the most powerful man in England, it was his duty to protect Sherlock from everything. He finds himself feeling completely desolated. Unable to cope with the guilt and regret, he decides to kill himself. But before does it, he writes a note to Sherlock. Everything he wanted to say to Sherlock over the years but he couldn't due to their difficult relationship, all the things that Sherlock should've known but now never would. He does not know that Sherlock is in fact alive but he wants to get a few things off his chest before he dies. The story is actually the letter. This story is an emotional rollercoaster ride.
