An ordinary office worker, and famous pop star. The two should never meet, but suddenly, Maize Williams finds herself living in the apartment right next to the famous Ryan Thunder, who was currently taking a break from music. As if things weren't dramatic enough with her new job, flirty building manager, and fake boyfriend. She expects him to be a full of himself jerk, and she appears to be right at first, but as the nights on their shared balcony become more frequent, she starts to see a softer, and surprisingly weaker side to him.

Some of the words she hates include economy class, second-hand clothes, and budget. She likes fashion, dating, not being on time and getting what she wants - until she meets Sean, who is like the clock striking midnight; he erases all her magic power. He is as mature and sophisticated as the dark roasted coffee he drinks, while she is like a lollipop: colorful, dazzling on the outside but empty calories and artificial sweeteners on the inside. The attraction is instant, but getting a kiss is only the first step. To keep their fire burning, they must accept each other's differences and decide if what they're building is strong enough to survive trials, jealousy, expectations, and the fear of becoming someone they no longer recognize.
