"So uh.. I think I'm your partner." Clay's world was completely flipped upside down when- in the middle of the school year- a new foreign transfer student sat in front of him in his English class.

George hasn't had an easy life after being diagnosed with autism. Going to a public school as an autistic, highly intelligent boy, he clearly notices the differences between his classmates and himself, giving him a lot of insecurity and shame about his own behaviour. As his escape, he goes to a bakery for hours a day to calm his mind, but things change when a new boy who moved is hired. Unexpectedly, and for the first time, George decides to open himself up to the new boy, Clay, while at the same time, Clay slowly starts falling for his new best friend, George. Mostly fluff with some angst every now and then! ⚠️ I wrote this book from my own experience and my own mindset, as someone with diagnosed autism, highly intelligent and ADHD. I DON'T think people with autism are childish or cute, I'm not projecting a stereotype. This is from my own struggles with autism at a public school without special needs.

George is homeless, with both of his parents having died when he was a boy. He manages to get by, still going to highschool and switching between sleeping at his friend's houses and on the streets. Clay is a star student, and well liked by both the teachers and kids. His parents, both being lawyers, are rich and highly respected. What happens when the two boys end up stuck in detention together? Clay, the most handsome boy of the school with a cocky attitude who is surrounded by his popular friend group and loads of girls. His life should only be amazing, right? Little did anyone know that the same boy was using makeup on a daily basis to hide his bruises while running away from home with tears rolling down his face. George, however, had quite the opposite life or... a way more similar life than any of them thought? After being bullied by the popular guys for years, George's self worth got so low that self harm seemed like the only way to escape the terrific reality... Just when George thought Clay's and Sapnap's lives were great, more and more secrets were revealed. Maybe Clay wasn't as happy as he seemed, maybe he was very similar to George. Just a bit too much... His parents are hopeless and don't know how to help him anymore while he games all day and skips school. George struggles with an eating disorder and seeks help on the wrong sites, meeting a coach who is "eighteen" years old. George trusts him and ends up sending him pictures of himself without anything on, not realising the terrible effects of this. His escape is to game as well, meeting an emotionless person who appears to have a soft spot for him. Will they be able to help each other?
