After the events of 'Fantastic beasts and where to find them', Newt Scamander returns home to London, fully expecting things to return to normal. But something comes up, as he's approached by three wizards searching for a creature that's apparently been attacking a muggle town.

Newt, being curious and empathetic towards the apparently 'lost' and 'in-danger' beast, goes to search for it. Only to discover that the beast was a werewolf, a rather peculiar one at that. It didn't attack him when it had the chance, and the next day, it retained its wolf form, unable to turn back.
