This story is in continuation to my previous story, Virtues. The second book is going to be more intense, so I'll add trigger warnings wherever necessary. THIS ISN'T A STANDALONE WORK, so I would recommend you read virtues before reading this, that way, it'll make more sense.

My head is spinning and the veins in my necks are pulsating due to the anger I am storing inside me. My hands are balled in a fist and the first person I see would get the beating of his life, if he isn't lucky to run away in time.
I pace the room as I wait for the person to come face-to-face with me. The gun resting in my waistband reminds me to do what is needed.
"Sir, she's ready for you." A guard comes out from the underground chamber attached to my office. Closing the thick steel doors behind him, he hands me a key, before leaving me to myself.
It is unbelievable how some years can bring so much change. I trusted this woman for years, only to be betrayed cruelly by her.
As I enter the dimly lit room, a smirk spreads on her lips. Her hands tied to the wall with handcuffs don't stop her from showing off her insanely long artificial nails.
"I am not going to die, Orlando. You know it, and so do I. You won't kill me, and why should you even, I love you, right? All I did was love you, then why would you kill me, my dearest?" She purrs making me dig my nails in my palms.

Years have passed but the pain never leaves my core. I knew I could have had her but she wasn't mine to start with. She was an angel, whose place is heaven, not the Marino's hell. Little did I know, all my assumptions and thoughts would stand defeated when destiny will play its game once again.
