Mature
It was getting cold, something I used to hate.
I looked at my hands and smiled at the distant memory of how Atharv used to hold my tiny hands in his large ones, my reverie was broken by his voice, I looked at him, he has obviously changed a lot from a lanky 17 years old boy he has grown into a tall and well built 27 years old man but the way he looks at me and the way he speaks so softly is still the same , he repeated "So this is it" it sounded more like a question than a statement. I looked in his hopeful eyes "This is it." I said in a firm tone looking in his eyes for a reaction but all I could see was an emotionless man who refused to meet my eyes.
I took a few papers out of my bag, paintings that i made for him when we were teenagers and kept them on the table "i...I don't want to keep them anymore, these are yours to keep" and got up from my seat to leave
He held my hand and glared at me and said
"Stop this okay?"
"Stop what?"
He jerked me closer and kept his hands on my waist gentle enough to not hurt me but firm enough to not let me go
"Stop pretending that you don't want to be with me, stop pretending that we're okay....
Stop pretending that you don't miss me like i do"
I smiled and said "maybe i am pretending but you take what you get. You have a perfect life..without me" I looked into his eyes "maybe you'll have a perfect life with me...in another life. Huh?" We kept gazing into each other's eyes hoping for the moment to stop
"Maybe your definition of perfect is like your choices"
He looked at my lips and whispered "always wrong"
