This is the story of Emily Bien-aimé Baudouin. Born 1757 to Prince Louis XV and his wife Marie, Emily lives a very unfortunate life. She is literally scarred as a child by smoldering candle wax, her mother dies of smallpox, her father is killed on the night her beloved Edward plans to propose. She tries to escape to the new world but it seems things might get worse from there as revolution takes the lives of many people that she loves!
