Being in a marriage with her ex-boyfriend's bestfriend wasn't what she wanted infact she had never dreamed of it but here she was with a child even, a child she thought was his all along.

Genesis is trying to fit in into the life she was living after all she had never had her way for as long as she can remember. A dad who doesn't show much care, a mom who really can't say anything and her brothers who are just working their butts off for whatever their father's company could offer; their inheritance and now a man she doesn't love to be with her till death did them part.
Debare might have thrown his past away but he still had feelings for the woman who was once in it, the woman married to his bestfriend.
