But even legends can fall.
In the midst of a ferocious engagement against a siren fleet, the Vanguard is overwhelmed. Despite the crew's heroism and the ship's cutting-edge defenses, it is ultimately sunk, vanishing beneath the waves in a fiery explosion. The loss sends shockwaves through humanity-a devastating blow not only to the war effort but to morale itself.
Yet, this is not the end of Vanguard's story.
Somewhere far from the battlefield, in a world unlike anything the ship-or its creators-could have imagined, the essence of the Vanguard awakens. Even with Humanities advanced technologies it seems the Sirens has gotten an upper hand and started to eradicate all life on Earth. These wisdom cubes materializes WW2 ships into ship girls and with that ,victory that Humanity has earned. The 4 major factions Eagle Union, Royal Navy, Sakura Empire, and Ironblood stood with each other to defend humanity but now it seems humanity and sirens have started to work with each other to dominate earth. This story primarily takes place, 2 years after WWII, except for the Prologue of course. In it, you live out the life of an Ex-Pilot, and an Ex-POW, Kurt Otto. Previously apart of the Luftwaffe! Kurt was captured after assisting KMS Bismarck from meeting her ultimate destruction. Ultimately saving her life. As such, when the war ends, and he is released from the PoW camps, he is confronted and thanked by the once mighty Bismarck. With the war over, and the Iron Bloods, once more being stripped of military and navy, granted, on a far less harsh scale than before.
