A presidential transfer lands her in Special Forces E3, a small, elite unit stationed at a remote desert base.
Her new team is complicated. Clay Draken, the son of Major General Light Draken. Adaeze, her roommate and the only soldier on the base with no abilities. Sergeant Bones, and Ace, their lieutenant, a legend in his own right who pushes her harder than anyone.
They are tasked to track down Hiro Sasaki, the one who killed Hari's former squad. She was an orphan taken in by a criminal empire, experimented on until her body became a weapon, and then discarded when she was no longer useful. What the military calls terrorism, Hiro calls a promise kept.
Two girls shaped by the same broken world, moving toward each other from opposite directions. One who was turned into a weapon and is deciding what to do with that. One who is still fighting not to become one at all.
