The prose work talks about a girl from a city;a spoilt fourteen year old. She is always maltreating a hoisemaid. She is disowned by her father because of bad behaviour and horrible results and shows no remorse at all.
Her mother continues to pamper her after they leave her father's house. Few years later, her mother dies after an unsuccessful surgery. The girl is rendered helpless after she is kicked out of the house by the landlord.
She goes back to her father only to discover that he has moved to an unknown location. The girl lives on the streets and is lucky enough to notice a job application sticker.
The girl is rejected.
