November 8th, 1997 - Part I - The Passion
After being held hostage for years, K, a former student of Wammy's House, finds a way to participate in the investigation of Kira alongside L and Watari, with the secret hope that they can set her and Bjarne free from the criminal organization which has been hunting her down almost all her life. However, she must first make amends for the serious crimes for which the Wammy's House director and star pupil accuse her. What secrets lurk in her past? And which is the role of Nate River in all of this? This tale, in which several characters are OCs (starting with the protagonist), is an alternative to the canonical investigation of the first seven volumes of the manga, exploring in part an imaginary past of the students of Wammy's House, L's family and origins, and an alternative concept of justice to that of the two famous protagonists. The enemy to be faced is not Kira alone; the successful outcome of the investigation will therefore depend on L and K's ability to come to terms with their past. The sparse descriptions, the purely dialogic and monologic form and the sudden change of point of view try to echo the narrative style of the anime, from which several scenes are taken.Concluída
