James Buchanan Barnes IV, or Jim is the great grandson of billionaire Bucky Barnes and his wife Kate Barnes.  Instantly attracted to red headed Gail Richards after helping her at a fraternity party at the end of the college year he follows in the footsteps of all the Barnes men by convincing her to marry him.  It means Gail and her parents learn the truth of her real connection to the wealthy and secretive family, a secret that involves the family matriarch Kate Barnes.  Gail's appearance triggers unwanted attention from those who seek to discredit and harm the Barnes family leading to issues for the young couple.  It also takes place in a year the Avengers have been preparing for since the 1940s, the expected threat of Thanos.  

This alternative universe story includes familiar characters from the Avengers in new and familiar personas, and new characters that originated in the Love and the White Wolf series, and Carousel of Time, the first Alternative Bucky Barnes Story.
